Rational Refugees from Religious Relatives - Relax, Relate and Regroup 2017
It'll happen at RRRRRRReason Center, of course. If the holiday hectors you, if religious relatives will drive you half batty, take your sweet secular self and a friend or two (or more) to RC to relax with your fellow refugees from Chris... from Chris... from that day. Our sound system will play non-holiday music as we share snacks, stories, and true camaraderie. We'll use the gentler lights, not harsh fluorescents or multi-color strings, so you'll feel toasty and cozy.
This event will be extra informal: no official-sounding introduction or closing, just a relaxing get-together of comrads. Bring friends, goodies, games, your favorite CD of secular music... If you want to bring a movie, do it, why not? Bring whatever party-ish leftovers you have so we can all absorb bizarre-looking comestibles. Really, we don't have to change much about the holiday, just keep what we like and ignore the rest. You know, just like everyone does anyway!
But please note, to happen, this event must have at least four attendees. So if you can join us, please RSVP here (Sac-FAN members only, otherwise just show up).
Reason Center is the ONLY venue in this region dedicated to freethought, non-theism, rationality, skepticism, non-belief (or insert your preferred appellation here), and it's open just for you (and any friends you'd like to bring). To continue Reason Center's success, donate as generously as you can. All donations are very much appreciated. RC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so all donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by IRS regulations. Visit www.reasoncenter.org for more information.
Atheists and Other Freethinkers (AOF) is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit that sponsors, among other things, the AOF Speaker Series, which you've revelled in for most of the last 40+ months of general meetings that occur on the last Sunday of each month. AOF membership forms are at the Reason Center: $10/yr for low-income individuals, $20/yr for other individuals, $30/year for families, and (if you're feeling wealthy right now) $50/year to be a Patron. AOF membership is what pays for those terrific speakers! You like speakers, right?
